The Electric Vehicle Association Supports the White House’s EV Acceleration Challenge

The Electric Vehicle Association is working with the White House and commits to 500 public EV events to help support the EV Acceleration Challenge.

The White House recognizes the Electric Vehicle Association (EVA) for supporting the EV Acceleration Challenge and their drive for 50% percent of all new vehicle sales to be electric by 2030. The Electric Vehicle Association is moving forward with the White House by agreeing to host more than 500 EV events in 2023.

EVA local chapter events are the backbone of the association’s mission to accelerate EV adoption. With 100+ chapters, our events are an excellent place for EV owners to explain how easy, economical, and exciting EV technology is in 2023. EV sales have tripled since 2021, and the number of publicly available charging ports has grown by over 40 percent under the Biden/Harris administration.

The EVA’s ride-and-drive events and participation at local community events are a unique opportunity to learn about EV ownership, charging requirements, and cost savings throughout the car's life. In April, the Electric Vehicle Association and its local chapters are proud to promote Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED), which is a national campaign to share information about electric vehicles at local events in the month of April. Find a local event near you or reach out to the Electric Vehicle Association.
