Potomac Edison Announces New EV Charger Rebate
Potomac Edison has been a long-time sponsor of the Electric Vehicle Association and just became a new Electric Vehicle Association Business Member.
San Diego (May 15, 2023) — Potomac Edison, a First Energy Company, launched an EV-Only Time-of-Use (TOU) Rate as part of its EV Driven program to support Maryland’s goal to reach 300,000 zero-emission vehicles by 2025. The EV-Only TOU Rate offering is a way for customers to help manage the grid impact of EV charging while getting rewarded with lower energy costs for charging their vehicles.
Potomac Edison residential customers can also receive a $300 charging rebate for the purchase and installation of a qualified smart Level 2 EV charging station. Residents living in an apartment or condo can contact their property manager to inform them of a rebate for installing charging stations in multifamily communities—up to $5,000 per charging port with a site maximum of $20,000.
Potomac Edison has installed 37 EV charging stations with 61 total charging ports across its service territory as part of the EV Driven program and will install another 22 stations by the end of 2023.
