A New EVA Chapter in Chicago Reveals Increasing EV Demand
Arthur Burton is a member of the Chicago Metro EVA Chapter and will be at the Route Zero Relay Event in Joliet on Sunday, May 7th.
A January 2023 newspaper report described how EV demand is surging in Illinois. This article revolved around Illinois’s $4,000 rebate for new EV purchases and how demand exceeded the amount of funding for the 2nd quarter.
State incentives and other EV questions are becoming more mainstream in Illinois and Chicago. To help curious consumers about EV ownership, Arthur Burton of Chicago started a new Electric Vehicle Association Chapter in 2022. The chapter is off to a great start as they held its first EV event in April 2023, part of the Drive Electric Earth Day program. EV owners showed up with their electric vehicles and answered questions from more than 20 attendees. The cars on hand included the Zero motorcycle, Nissan Ariya, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and Tesla Model 3s.
Burton is also part of our executive board at the National Level for the Electric Vehicle Association. Burton is a managing agent/owner of AMB Renewable Energy, providing energy efficiency services and products for new development and retrofits for residential and commercial businesses.
