EVA honored by Plug In America
Two EVA members receive 2021 Drive Electric Awards
The Electric Vehicle Association and two of its members were honored by Plug In America at a virtual awards ceremony celebrating organizations and individuals leading the EV movement.
Organization Award
The EVA was recognized for its 54 years of dedication to growing the adoption of EVs through its 100 chapters and thousands of volunteers throughout North America. The award was accepted by the nonprofit’s president, April Bolduc.
Individual Award
Elaine Borseth, vice president of the EVA, was honored for producing, and volunteering for, countless EV events, as well as for her leadership with National Drive Electric Week and Fully Charged Live.
Student Award
University of Texas, San Antonio engineering student Javier Sainz was reognized for building an electric go-kart for the evGrandPrix, which led him to launching the EVA’s first university chapter. His work has inspired other students and faculty to engage in and promote EV technology.
