Historic “Electric City” to Host EVA Annual Meeting & Awards
Join the EVA in Schenectady to celebrate the future of e-mobility!
Join us on Saturday, May 3 at Proctor's Theater-Key Hall in Schenectady, NY, as part of our Annual Meeting Weekend, where we’ll recognize the outstanding members of the Electric Vehicle Association and other advocates who have contributed to accelerated adoption of electric vehicles.
Our celebration will be held in Schenectady, the historic hub of the electrical industry. You do not want to miss this fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow EVA members, cheer their achievements, and enjoy a delightful evening in the historic Proctor's Theater.
The annual meeting will feature an exclusive conversation with Kyle Conner and Nick Bordeau.
Conner, the founder of Out of Spec Reviews lives, sleeps, and breathes electric vehicles. His reviews, testing, road trips, and EV stories attract large YouTube audiences. That’s why EVA chose Conner as our EV Influencer of the Year.
Nick Bordeau of Lynkwell is an expert in EV software development and is being honored by the EVA as Tech Leader of the Year. He helped spearhead the deployment of plug-and- charge technology which enables drivers to seamlessly initiate charging without cards or apps.
"Schenectady is proud to host the Electric Vehicle Association's annual meeting and awards ceremony this May, marking the organization's first-ever annual gathering on the East Coast," said Mayor Gary McCarthy. "With a rich history of innovation–from the days of Thomas Edison, General Electric, and the American Locomotive Company to Lynkwell today—Schenectady has long been a hub of technological advancement. There is truly no better place to showcase the future of the EV industry than the Electric City."
Our Annual Meeting Weekend begins on Friday with a tour of Lynkwell’s electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) manufacturing plant, followed by a welcome reception at the home of EVA board member Kate Kruk.
The weekend concludes with a ride and drive event open to the public on Sunday, May 4 showcasing a variety of EV makes and models.
