A call for your EV videos

Here’s a great way to participate in National Drive Electric Week.

By Ron Freund, Electric Auto Association Board Member

National Drive Electric Week is an extremely successful annual event held all across the country, and even in overseas locations, to share the excitement about driving electric. Just looking at the accumulation of photos and the involvement over the past decade is proof that “there’s something happening here”.

This year, with the worldwide pandemic constantly in the headlines, gatherings of all sorts have been put on hold, delayed or just outright canceled. Virtual meetings are commonplace for just about everything. National Drive Electric Week will not be an exception. The event allows the “EV curious” to gather in a relaxed environment, with EV owners and enthusiasts readily available to learn and ask questions. It’s the ideal opportunity to check out new EV product offerings without sales pressure.

This still can happen, and in 2020, we want to show those interactions by video. Send us your EV videos!

Grab your mobile phone and email us a 90-second video on what excites you about electric cars. Some ideas could be:

  • Take us on a test drive

  • Answer your favorite EV question

  • Tell us why you went electric

  • Demo your favorite EV feature

  • Give us a tour of what you love best about your EV

  • Ask someone else what they love about their EV

  • Taken electric mass transit? What did you love about it?

Email your videos to hello@electricauto.org by August 30 so we can share them during National Drive Electric Week with the many thousands of people we expect to attend our events.

Here are some examples to inspire you by a Tesla Model 3 owner, SmartforTwo owner, and a Hyundai Kona owner -- just remember to keep yours to 90 seconds.

Send us your photos!

We’d also like to include a photo of you in nature as part of another upcoming National Drive Electric Week webinar. Send them to hello@electricauto.org as well.

Don’t forget to join your local National Drive Electric Week event or any of the hundreds of virtual events that will be taking place across the globe!
